The Tolaga Bay Wharf is a historic landmark. It is one of the longest wharves in New Zealand, measuring 660 meters in length and was originally built between 1926 and 1929 to accommodate large ships that transported goods to and from the region. Standing where Captain Cook sailed to meet the Aitanga a Hauiti tribe on the Endeavour. Visit a traditional Māori Courtyard (Marae).
